Blueberries are non-toxic and safe for dogs. They're the perfect combination of convenience, tastiness and healthiness. Blueberries are low in calories and contain high amounts of vitamin C, fiber, phytochemicals (naturally occurring chemical compounds found in plants), and antioxidants, and have been proven to improve the health of animals as well as humans.
Apples for dogs, are high in antioxidants, high in fiber and low in protein. The low protein count is especially good for aging dogs. Younger and more active dogs can benefit from the gastrointestinal help and apples can also fight various degenerative conditions. Oatmeal is a good source of soluble fibre. Pumpkin is a great source of fiber and helps with digestive regularity. Not only will they love the taste of pumpkin but it may also ease stomach issues on multiple levels. Pumpkin for dogs is a tasty, nutritious treat, promotes a shiny coat and improves a pet’s immune system. Parsley freshens dog breath in addition to providing phytochemicals. It also has Vitamin C, Vitamin K, carotenoids, B vitamins, iron and limonene (an oil that kills bad mouth bacteria). IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PREGNANT DOGS & THOSE WITH KIDNEY ISSUES: Pregnant dogs should never indulge in any amount of parsley since it may cause muscle contractions. Dogs with kidney problems should also not eat parsley because they may experience excess bleeding. Beef is one of the most widely available and most commonly used meat source for pet food since the likeliness of an allergy is highly unlikely. Rich in essential amino acids, minerals and vitamins, lean beef is an excellent diet food for pets. Dogs are carnivores by nature, they should indulge now & then. Carrots are low in calories and high in fiber and vitamins. Whole carrots are not recommended, most of the nutrition in carrots is inaccessible to dogs until the cellulose is broken down. When pureed it's a whole different story. Carrots contain beat-carotene; an antioxidant which helps protect cells from damage. Carrots contain soluble and insoluble fiber. They each act differently and provide their own benefits, but both types are important for regular bowel movement and to help prevent digestive disorders. Furthermore, First, and most importantly from your dog's point of view, they taste delicious! Peanut Butter is not only a good source of protein, but it also contains heart healthy fats, vitamin B, niacin, and vitamin E and H which will help keep your dog's coat healthy and shiny. Bananas contain potassium, which aids in muscle and blood vessel function, provide a healthy serving of Vitamin C, antioxidants and immune system boosters. Bananas contain fiber which helps constipation & promotes regularity. Bananas also provide Vitamin B6 which regulates blood cell function and magnesium to helps with proper bone growth and vitamin absorption. Need I tell you how much dogs enjoy these combined ingredients? They will probably spend a great deal of time staring at their cookie jar sitting just out of paw reach :( |
